Homemaker Was Sharon Baptist Church Member

Lillian M. Johnson Hyler, age 87, of 528 Commercial Ave, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Monday, September 17, 2012 at The Brian Center Nursing Care in Low Moor.

Born July 27, 1925 in Iron Gate, Virginia, Lillian was the daughter of the late Troy Lee and Littie Mae Kelley Johnson.

She was a homemaker throughout her life and a member of Sharon Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Norman Lee Hyler, and a brother, Edwin W. "Buck" Johnson, Sr.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Richard L. Hyler of Clifton Forge; a daughter, Iris "Muffin" Morris and husband, Dr. Clay Morris of Valley Ridge; a son, Monte L. Hyler and wife, Sheila of Covington; a grandson, Clay "C.S" Morris and wife, Rebecca of Midlothian; and a number of nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Linda Thomas and husband, Rob of Lewisburg.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. in Bethel United Methodist Cemetery, Botetourt County with Reverend Virgil Woodie officiating. Interment will follow. There will be no formal visitation. However, friends may call any time at the home of Dr. Clay and Iris Morris, 400 Woodland Rd, Valley Ridge, Covington.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is in charge of arrangements.
