Retired MeadWestvaco Maintenance Supervisor Dies At Age 74

Mr. Arnold Louis (Tony) Warlitner, 74, of Covington, Virginia, died Thursday, September 20, 2012, at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany, Low Moor.

He was the husband of the late Wanda Carter Warlitner.

Mr. Warlitner was born October 8, 1937, in Covington, the son of the late Frank Edward Warlitner Sr. and Mamie Gladys Fix Warlitner.

Mr. Warlitner was employed as a supervisor in the maintenance department of Westvaco.

He was a retired member of the United States Army National Guard.

Mr. Warlitner was a member of McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Warlitner is survived by two sons, Todd Warlitner and wife, Karen, Tab Warlitner and wife, Laura; one daughter, Tarie Warlitner; six grandchildren, Brian Warlitner, Kara Warlitner, Kristen Warlitner, Victoria L. "Tori" Lilly and husband, Keith, Tiana Warlitner, and Danielle Conner; two great-grandchildren, Kyndle Koonce and Kellen Lilly; five siblings; and one sister-in-law.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 23, 2012, at McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Mike Fleenor officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home, and the family would encourage those friends attending the Virginia Tech game to come to the visitation in their "Hokie" gear, following the game.

The family suggests that memorial tributes be made to American Cancer Society , c/o of Mrs. Karen Buzzard, 807 McCormick Blvd, Clifton Forge VA, 24422, McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church, 900 N.
