Judith Ayres Swisher, 71, of Lexington, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 7, 2012, at her residence.

Born January 15, 1941, in Lexington, she was a daughter of Helen Irvine Agnor and the late Milton Ayres.

Mrs. Swisher was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church and retired from Carter Bank & Trust in 2002.

Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband of 52 years, William S. Swisher; one son, Davis S. Swisher and wife, Sheryl; one daughter, Penni S. Whiteside and husband, Ted; one brother, Ronnie Ayres; two grandsons, Hunter S. Smith and Tyler S. Swisher.

A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012, at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Al Folgeman officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Davita Dialysis.
