Obituary for Patsy Ann Hartless-Brown Patsy Ann Hartless-Brown
LDS Church Member Was Retired BV School System Guidance Counselor

Patsy Ann Hartless-Brown, 61, of Vesuvius, Virginia, died on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at her home.

She was born on February 28, 1951, in Lexington, a daughter of the late Guy Day Hartless Sr. and Annie Swink Hartless.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, David Mitchell and Steven Ray Hartless; and one sister, Nancy Gail Hartless.

Mrs. Hartless was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Patsy retired from the Buena Vista School System after serving as a Guidance Counselor since 1974.

She was the President of ARC, Area Coordinator for the Special Olympics, and the Coordinator of Autistic Children.

Surviving are her husband, Robert L. Brown Sr., of Vesuvius; one daughter, Nancy Jane Brown; three brothers, Guy Day Hartless Jr., Paul Austin and wife, Karen, Jeffery Hartless; two sisters, Jacqueline K. Hartless Tyree and husband, Robert, and Jennifer Hartless Tyree and husband, Wayne; three special grandchildren, Bishop Royale Mackey, Kierra Elizabeth Brown, and Alona Renae Brown; favorite nephew, Robert Lee Tyree III; one stepdaughter, Leslie A. Jackson; two stepsons, Robert L. Brown Jr. and Timothy W. Brown; five stepgranddaughters; and one stepgrandson.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2012, at the Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Phillip Mace officiating. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics.
