Mrs. Julia Jackson (Judy) Moore, age 74, formerly of Johnson Creek, Covington, Virginia, died Friday, October 19, 2012, at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany, Low Moor.

She was the wife of the late Robert Lee Moore who preceded her in death in 2006.

Mrs. Moore was born November 29, 1937 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late Arthur Maxwell Jackson and Elsie Taylor Jackson.

Over the years, she had worked at Jane Colby, Halmode and the Hospital.

Mrs. Moore was of the Methodist faith.

She loved to spread joy to her family and others.

Mrs. Moore is survived by three sons, Robert "Bobby" Moore and wife, Kathy, Henry D. Moore and wife, Tiffany, Darrell W. Moore; three daughters, Teressa "Terry" Armentrout and husband, Dennis, Gwendolyn "Wendy" Davis, and Wilma Darlene Dulaney and husband, Don; seventeen grandchildren, Jeremiah Armentrout, Jacob Armentrout, Chanda Higgins, Heidi Altizer, Sabrina Moore, Arthur Davis, Danielle Dulaney, Dawn Dulaney, Robert Moore, Cody Moore, Jonathan Moore, Kayla Gibson, Keith Lilly, Scotti Lilly, Stephanie Lewis, Brandi Moore, Nicholas Moore; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Dennis Jackson; two sisters, Janice Sarver and Sylvia Brafford; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by one brother.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 22, 2012, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Virgil Woodie officiating. Interment will follow in Jones Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home and at other times at the residence of Bobby and Kathy Moore, 218 Spruce Street, Covington and Teressa and Dennis Armentrout, 1020 Hattie Street, Covington.
