Obituary for Mary Louise Seay King Mary Louise Seay King
Retired Waitress Was Former Covington Resident

Mrs. Mary Louise Seay King, age 92, formerly of Covington, Virginia, died Saturday, October 20, 2012, at her residence in Cary, NC.

She was the wife of the late Theodore Wiley King who preceded her in death in 1990.

Mrs. King was born October 29, 1919 in Rockbridge County, the daughter of the late John Alexander Seay and Bessie Reen Rowsey Seay.

She was a resident of Covington until 1967, when she and her husband moved to Cary, NC.

Mrs. King was employed as a waitress by the Dobbs House at Raleigh-Durham Airport, retiring after several years of service.

Mrs. King was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC and a former member of Trinity Baptist Church in Covington.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.

Mrs. King is survived by three sons, Richard Thomas "Tommy" King and wife, Phyllis of Colonial Heights, Theodore Berkley "Teddy" King of Cary, NC, and James Edward "Jimmy" King of Cary, NC; two daughters, Mary Sue King Carper and husband, Charles and Gail King Forbes and husband, Sam, all of Covington; eleven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; special friend and caregiver, Pattie Bass; special friend and neighbor, Daphine "Tarheel" Norris; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband of fifty-one years, Theodore Wiley King, Mrs. King was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Stephanie King Compton in 2010; three sisters, Ruth Potter, Myrtle Arthur, and Nannie Smith; and one brother, Raymond Seay. p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2012, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Rollins officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.

Pallbearers and flowerbearers will be grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home and at other times at the residence of Melissa Crowder, 430 E. Dolly Ann Drive, Covington.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Mountain Regional Hospice, P.O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
