Obituary for Linda Ford Haynes Linda Ford Haynes
Covington Resident Was Tanglewood Home For Adults Employee

Linda Ford Haynes, 64, of 1016 Hattie Street, Covington, Virginia, died Monday evening, October 29, 2012 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 6, 1948 in Covington, a daughter of the late Samuel L. Ford and Edith Grady Ford.

Linda was an employee of Tanglewood Home for Adults.

She loved and cared for her cats.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack B. Haynes in 1997; also by three sisters, Reba Maxine Brown, Edith Carol Davis and Sandra Kay Burks, and one brother, Robert Eddie Grady.

Surviving are her two daughters, Julie Phillips of Covington and Jackie Collins and her husband, Dwayne of Morristown, TN; her son, Jack B Haynes, Jr. of Covington; five grandchildren, Justin Haynes with the United States Air Force stationed in England; Joshua Trentine of Beaver Creek, OH, Tristin DeGusman of Norfolk; Magan Tretine and Jeremiah Phillips, both of Covington; four sisters, Jo Ann Smith of Virginia Beach ; Virginia Lee Puffenbarger of Marlboro, VA; Jeanne Elizabeth Spellman of Stewartstown, PA and Evelyn Gail Botkin of Covington; one brother, Samuel Loyd Ford, Jr. of Covington; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Linda's wishes, her body has been created.

A private service will be held at a later date.

Arritt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
