Obituary for Antonia Santos Antonia Santos
Devout Jehovah's Witness Church Member Dies At Age 97

Antonia Santos, 97, of Lexington, Virginia, died on Thursday, November 1, 2012, at the Benjamin Borden Healthcare Center in Lexington, Va.

She was born on February 5, 1915, in Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late Valois Santos and Juana Rosa Santos.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Vigo.

Mrs. Santos was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Antonia was a generous, kind, and loving person. She has touched the hearts of many. And most of all, she was a devout Jehovah's Witness. Her greatest joy was preaching the good news of God's Kingdom. She had a firm hope of the resurrection ofJesus mentioned in John 11: 25, "Jesus said; I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life."

Antonia was one of the first residents of the Lexington House and lived there for thirty five years.

Surviving are one daughter, Carmen Natale, of Glasgow; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012, at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with Joe Vita and Steve Grinstead officiating. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Entombment will follow at the Green Hill Mausoleum.
