Frances Pauline Potter Drain, 86, of Lexington, Virginia, died on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at her home.

She was born on June 4, 1926, in Covington, Virginia, a daughter of the late George Potter and Hassie Armstrong Potter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Drain.

Surviving are her daughter, Wanda D. Hughes, of Lexington; two grandchildren, Earl Knick and wife, Carol, and Justin Wright and wife, Pansy; four great-grandchildren, Samantha, William, Kaleb, and Kevin; and a special caregiver.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2012, at Collierstown Presbyterian Cemetery with the Rev. Skip Hasting officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Effinger First Responders, 2824 Collierstown Road, Lexington, VA 24450.
