Evelyn Kendrick Jessee, 83, of Covington, Virginia, died Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem.

She was born July 25, 1929 Hawkins County, Tennessee.

Mrs. Jesse was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Jessee, in September, 2012, and also by a daughter, Kathy Earline Jesse; a granddaughter, Megan Morgan; and two brothers, Tom Kendrick and Billy Kendrick.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and Ralph Morgan, of Roanoke and Beverly and Buster Reynolds, of Daleville; one son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Lisa Jessee, of Warm Springs; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Ollie Evans, of Johnson City, Tennessee; and one brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Galora Kendrick, of Johnson City, Tennessee. The funeral service will be held 6 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012, in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William M. Hartsfield officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at Arritt Funeral Home.
