Barbara Harmon Summers, 41, died Friday, December 14, 2012, at the Woodlands Health and Rehabilitation Center in Clifton Forge, Virginia.

Mrs. Summers was born June 15, 1971, in Alleghany County a daughter of Dreama Jones Miller of Covington and the late Virgil Jackson Harmon.

She was a retired clerk with the Kroger Company in Paris, Tennessee and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Covington.

Surviving in addition to her mother are her step-father, Robbie Miller, of Covington; her sister, Shannon Newkirk and her husband, Greg, of Georgia; her niece, Taylor Hammons of Tennessee and a number of siblings, aunts and uncles including Tammy Chaplin and Karen Chaplin.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the funeral service at Arritt Funeral Home and at other times will be at the residence of Robbie and Dreama Miller at 407 Winding Way in Covington.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Price officiating. Interment will be made in Lone Star Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Dale Oyler, R. J. Helmintoller, Donnie Nicely, Nelson Bowles, Warren Kegley, Kenny Jones and Dennis Cochran.

Honorary pallbearers will be member of the King's Couples of Faith Baptist Church.
