Robert Lewis Duvall, 69, of Paint Bank, Virginia, died Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem.

Mr. Duvall was born January 25, 1943 at Burtonville, MD, a son of the late James and Bertha Poole Duvall.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

He was a retired truck driver for various trucking companies in the area.

Surviving are two sons, Robert L. Duvall, Jr. of Tennessee and Robbie Hosey of Covington; five grandchildren; his grandmother, Maude Brookman of Covington; seven brothers, James Duvall and his wife, Mary of Covington; William Brookman of Paint Bank; Ronnie Brookman of Laurel,MD; Charles Brookman of Baltimore, MD; Robert Brookman of Odenton, MD; Kenneth Brookman of Paint Bank and Glen Brookman of Danville; five sisters, Betty Downings of Front Royal; Margaret Dice of Hanover, PA; Charlene Purkey of Covington; Mary Brookman of Rocky Mount and Chris Brookman of Danville, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive their friends Friday evening from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the Arritt Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2012 in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Altizer officiating.

The interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery.
