Mark David Carrell, 43, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Lewis-Gale Hospital in Salem.

He was born on June 16, 1969, in New Jersey, a son of Jacqueline Grimaldi Carrell and the late Gary Stephen Carrell.

Surviving are his wife, Amberly Nicole Bushong Carrell; one daughter, Sophia Rose Carrell, of Buena Vista; one brother, Jason Carrell, of New Jersey; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Beth Bushong; one aunt, Geraldine Grimaldi; one uncle, Fred Carrell; and cousins, Scott and Tara.

All services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to your area SPCA.
