Obituary for George William Ginger George William Ginger
Army Veteran Worked With Lee's Carpets For 43 Years

George William Ginger, 82, of Natural Bridge Station, Virginia, died December 21, 2012, in Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

Born December 23, 1929, in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Warren and Ethel Powell Ginger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steven L. Ginger and a sister, Evelyn Rogers.

Mr. Ginger was employed by Lee's Carpets for 43 years and was a U.S. Army veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Kay F. Ginger; a son, George Michael Ginger, Natural Bridge Station; four siblings, Edna G. Robinson, Lexington, Gladys M. Collins, Charles M. Ginger, both of Natural Bridge Station, and Minnie Garrett, Lynchburg; two grandsons, Ryan Ginger and Ian Ginger.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012, in Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. W. David Bain and the Rev. Thad Decker officiating. Burial will follow in Glasgow Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2012.
