Former Clifton Forge Police Dispatcher Loved Walking And Nature

Delbert Lee (Dale) Reynolds, age 56, of 1008 McCormick Boulevard, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at his residence. He was born September 9, 1956 in Clifton Forge, Virginia, to Joan Hyler Reynolds Nicely and the late Edgar Lee Reynolds.

He was a dispatcher for the Clifton Forge Police Department, a cleaning supervisor for Alleghany Regional Hospital, a supervisor for Jackson River Technical School, worked at Hotel Collins, and had a cleaning business.

He attended The Lighthouse and loved walking and nature.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Jack Nicely.

He is survived by his mother, Joan Nicely, a sister, Debbie Burns and husband, Harvey, and two brothers, Daryl Reynolds, and Edward Eugene Reynolds and wife, Sarah, all of Clifton Forge. Also surviving are a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, step sisters and step brothers.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Gordon Hammond and Reverend Shorty Wolfe officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge.

Pallbearers will be Albert Burns, Dwayne Burns, Dustin Scott, Eric Caldwell, George Burns, Joe Sammons, Jared Caldwell, and Bruce Hyler.

Friends may call any time Wednesday at Nicely Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday one hour prior to the service at Nicely Funeral Home.
