Mark Andrew Rice, 46, of Lexington, Virginia, formerly of Mesa, Ariz., passed away on December 25, 2012.

Mark graduated from Natural Bridge High School and Longwood College.

He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Woodie and Maudie Rice; paternal grandparents, Dale and Louella Rice; and beloved dog, Peyton.

Mark is survived by his parents, Larry and Nellie Rice; sisters, Karen Beard and Julie Nicely; brothers-in-law, Kenny Beard and Chris Nicely; and niece, Alexx Beard.

Mark was much-loved and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rockbridge SPCA, P.O. Box 528, Lexington, VA and Rockbridge Area Hospice, P.O. Box 948, Lexington, VA 24450.
