Union Shop Steward Worked With MeadWestvaco For 46 Years

George William Clinebell III, 69 of 547 Brentwood Drive, Covington, Virginia, died Thursday, January 3, 2013 at his residence.

He was born October 26, 1943 in Greenbrier County, WV, a son of the late George W. Clinebell, Jr. and Anna Grace Scott Clinebell.

Mr. Clinebell was employed as a team leader on the Woodyard at MeadWestvaco for 46 years. He was a shop steward for Covington Paperworkers Union.

Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, George Kevin and Debbie Clinebell of Covington and Jeffrey D. Clinebell of Richmond; five grandchildren: Heather Clinebell, Brandon Clinebell, Amanda Clinebell, Amber Clinebell, and Ericka Cline; three brothers: Larry Clinebell and his wife, Kimie of Tampa, FL; Kenny Clinebell and his wife, Glenda of Vinton and Lannie Clinebell, Sr. of White Sulphur Springs, WV; six sisters: Carol Smith and her husband, Carl of Troutville; Sara Fogus and her husband, Henry of White Sulphur Springs, WC; Una Humphries and her husband, Dana of Covington; Louanna Mazey and her husband, Lanse and Jeannie Clinebell, all of Roanoke and Becky Folden and her husband, Dave of Lewisburg and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2012 at the Arritt Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 6, 2013 in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Price officiating.

The interment will follow in the Mabledale Cemetery at Mabledale, WV.
