Clifton Forge Baptist Church Member Was Retired Operating Room Nurse Supervisor

Alma Legg Wright, age 71, of 49 Lakeview Court, Eagle Rock, Virginia, died Monday, December 31, 2012 at The Brian Center in Low Moor, Virginia.

She was born May 27, 1941 in Greenbrier County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Clarence and Mabel Tuckwiller Legg.

She was a member of the Clifton Forge Baptist Church, a graduate of the C & O Hospital School of Nursing and was a retired operating room nurse supervisor from Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Ronald Wright of Eagle Rock; a daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Chia Lin of Alexandria; a sister, Nora Wooten of Amelia; a brother, Dr. Paul Legg of Princeton, KY; a brother-in-law, Gene Winfrey of Richmond; and sisters-in-law, Aileen Painter of Virginia Beach, Ruth Wright of Clifton Forge and Betty Wright of Eagle Rock

. Also surviving are sister-in-law, Barbara Showalter and husband, Gary of Iron Gate, and brother-in-law, Wayne Wright and wife, Janice of Troutville.

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Lee Winfrey.

A funeral service was conducted on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Dr. Thomas Harvey officiating. Interment followed in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Pallbearers will be Jon Wilson, Jeff Wright, Glenn Jones, Kevin Nicely, Dennis Swearengin, Harvey Burns, Herbert Sams, John Mandeville and John Uarich.

The family received friends prior to the service on Thursday from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home, or any time at Ronald and Alma's apartment, 402 West Ridgeway Street, Clifton Forge.

The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Clifton Forge Baptist Church, 511 McCormick Boulevard, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
