Obituary for John Robey Terry John Robey Terry
Pentecostal Outreach Church Member Was Retired Lexington Public Works Employee

John Robey Terry, 93, of Lexington, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 6, 2013, at his home.

He was born in Amherst County on October 12, 1919, to the late Albert Terry and Mamie Floyd Terry.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Jessie Terry; two brothers; and one sister.

Surviving are four daughters, Dorothy Wilson, Shirley Terry, Betty Wilson, and Kathy Hostetter, all of Lexington; two sons, Junior Terry, of Lexington, and Randy Terry, of Moneta, Va.; a brother, Willard Terry, of Buena Vista; three grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren.

Mr. Terry was a member of the Pentecostal Outreach Church.

He was retired from the Lexington Public Works with 32 years of service.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Clark and Pastor George Close officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Buena Vista, Va., 540-261-5510.
