BV Pentecostal Holiness Church Member Dies At Age 96

Clarence Raymond Creasey, 96, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died on Thursday, January 10, 2013, at his home.

He was born on April 5, 1916,in Roanoke, Virginia, a son of the late Seaton Wheeler Creasey and Mary Huffman Creasey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Lucille, Minnie, and Louise.

Mr. Creasey was a member of the Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving are his three daughters, Linda Creasey Spangler and husband, Wayne, and Margaret Creasey Taylor Coleman and husband, Tate, all of Buena Vista, and Doris Creasey Bolden, of Monroe, VA; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great- grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 2013, at the Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. W.A. Mills and the Rev. W. David Bain officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 13, 2013, at the Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 350, Buena Vista, VA 24416 or to Rockbridge Area Hospice, 315 Myers Street, Lexington, VA 24450.
