Obituary for Jerry Lee Hostetter Jerry Lee Hostetter
Avid Outdoorsman Was Rockbridge County Native

Jerry Lee Hostetter, 58, of Lexington, Virginia, died Friday, January 11, 2013, at his home.

He was born November 6, 1954 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late William C. and Margie B. Hostetter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Sylvia, and sisters, Janice and Minnie.

Surviving are his wife, Robin Hartless Hostetter; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Bonnie Edenfield, of Hephzibah, Ga. Also surviving are brothers, Dorman and Sam; and sisters, Brenda, Thelma, Bertha, and Nellie; numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving is his special nephew, Bruce Irvine, and his great nephews, B.J. and Norman; and feline companion Mitten.

Jerry was employed by Washington and Lee University for twelve years.

Jerry was an avid outdoorsman, a member of the Poor Boy Hunt Club and a lifetime member of the Virginia Bear Hunters Association. He and Robin spent many evenings and weekends cat-fishing at Lake Robertson.

Jerry will be greatly missed, but he is forever in our hearts.

A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at Collierstown Presbyterian Cemetery with Dr. Benjamin W. Dowling III officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Rockbridge Area Hospice, 315 Myers Street, Lexington, VA 24450, or the American Cancer Society Rockbridge County Relay For Life, 2840 Electric Road, Suite 106A, Roanoke VA 24018.

Arrangements are being handled by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.
