Ben Coolidge Jamerson, 87, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died Monday, January 14, 2013, at Lewis-Gale Hospital in Salem.

He was born December 18, 1925, a son of the late Bennie C. Jamerson and Nora Gunther Jamerson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jamerson; and a son, Galen E. Scott Jamerson.

Surviving are one son, Randall "Randy" Jamerson; one daughter, Linda J. Fetherolf; six sisters, Marian J. Cooper, Dorothy J. George, Phyllis J. Cash, Kitty J. Dunford, Shirley Y. Jamerson, and Janis J. Shelton; five grandchildren, Benjamin S. Jamerson, Joshua Jamerson, Dylan Fetherolf, Jared Fetherolf, and Jenna Fetherolf; one great-grandchild, Madison Jamerson; two stepgrandchildren, Michele Mays and Jeremy Brown; and one stepgreat-grandchild, Elizabeth Holland.

A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2013, at the Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. W. David Bain and the Rev. W.A. Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.

The family received friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Buena Vista. .
