Obituary for Pauline Elmore Bell Pauline Elmore Bell
Craig County Native Was Longtime Alleghany County Resident

Pauline Elmore Bell, 93, died Saturday, January 26, 2013, in Gainesville, Virginia.

She was a longtime resident of the Moss Run area of Alleghany County.

Mrs. Bell was born January 7, 1920, at Paint Bank in Craig County, a daughter of the late Gordon and Myra Clayton Bell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Patton Bell in 1987, and also by her sister, Grace Harvey, and one grandson, Paul Allen Bell.

She was a retired clerk with the former M. H. Fishman Department Store in Covington and was a member of the Johnson Creek ARP Church.

Surviving are her daughters, Mary Sue Long and her husband, John, of Clifton, VA, and Paula Jo Rosenberger and her husband, Kenneth, of Kennewick, WA; her son, James Robert Bell and his wife, Mallory, of Landis, NC; four grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. in the Johnson Creek ARP Church with the Rev. Paul Burns officiating.

Interment will be made in the Johnson Creek ARP Church Cemetery.

The family suggests that donations in Mrs. Bell's name be made to the Johnson Creek ARP Church, 4804 Johnson Creek Road, Covington, VA 24426.
