Joan Radford Fitzgerald, 75, of Glasgow, Virginia, died Sunday, January 27, 2013, at her home.

She was born November 20, 1937 in Buena Vista, a daughter of the late William Bennett Radford and Mittie Louise Comer Radford.

Joan was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church, and retired from Burlington Industries after 11 years of service.

Surviving are her husband, Carroll Linburgh Fitzgerald; one son, Robert Lynn Fitzgerald and wife, Brenda; one brother, William (Billy) Radford Jr., all of Glasgow; three sisters, Mary Fitzgerald, of Raphine, Peggy Ayers, of Huddleston, Margaret (Margie) Coffey, of Buena Vista.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Glasgow Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeremy Kilgore and the Rev. William Thomas officiating.

Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
