Joyce K. Unroe, age 63 of 511 Fairview Avenue, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Thursday, February 7, 2013 at her residence.

She was born May 26, 1949 in Rockbridge County, Virginia, to the late Thomas S. and Frances Armstrong Knick.

She was a homemaker throughout her life and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ashby "Bo" Unroe in September of 2009; two sons, Richard Lee Unroe and James Allen Unroe; and a sister, Caroline Knick.

She is survived by a son, Dale Unroe and wife, Kim of Clifton Forge; a sister, Eulane Jordan and husband, Steve of Lynchburg; two brothers, Ray Knick and wife, Wilma of Lexington, and Ronnie Knick and wife, Debbie of Louisiana; a granddaughter, Hannah Unroe of Clifton Forge; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Pastor John Godfrey officiating.

Interment will follow in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge. There will be no formal visitation. However, friends may call any time at Nicely Funeral Home.
