Obituary for Clyde William Gibson Clyde William Gibson
U. S. Air Force Retiree Was Hercules/AET Retiree

Clyde William Gibson, age 74, of 110 Head of the James, Eagle Rock, Virginia, died Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the home of his daughter.

He was born November 20, 1938 in Clifton Forge, Virginia, to the late Lorenzo Clyde and Mary Lucille Eades Gibson.

He served in the United States Air Force for six years and retired from Hercules/AET, where he handled quality control of the Fiber Department and Film Division.

He attended Iron Gate United Methodist Church and loved hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dreama Brown Gibson in October of 2012, and a brother, Bobby D. Gibson.

He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Lamb and husband, Jason of Roanoke; a sister, Mary Ann Kuznear and husband, Dave of Manassas; a brother, Charles L. Gibson of Eagle Rock; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Gibson of Covington; five grandchildren, Gavyn Wright, Daniel Wright, Sierra Wright, Adam Lamb, and Tristin Lamb; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Donna and Jean.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. There will be no formal services at this time. However, the family will receive friends on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at the residence.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, is handling arrangements.
