Obituary for Peggy Vest Tyree Peggy Vest Tyree
Covington Native Dies At Age 79

Mrs. Peggy Vest Tyree, age 79, of Covington, Virginia, died Thursday, February 21, 2013, at her residence.

She was the wife of the late Charles Meredith Tyree, Jr.

Mrs. Tyree was born September 21, 1933 in Covington, the daughter of the late Clarence B. Vest and Eva Benson Vest.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Tyree was a member of Granbery Memorial United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Tyree is survived by two sons, Dwain A. Tyree and wife, Janie, Robert M. Tyree and wife, Mary; two daughters, Debbie Williams and husband, Skipper, Beverly Tyree Angell and husband, Chris; nine grandchildren Shane Williams and wife, Melissa, Ashleigh Williams Nickell and husband, Chad, Charity Tyree Hale and husband, Nathan, Tara Saylor Uzzell and husband, Tyson, Brooke Angell Finch and husband, Trey, Cory Angell, Kacey Angell, Charles M. "Tripp" Tyree, III, Daylin Tyree; five great grandchildren, Mason Hale, Maddox Hale, Callie Uzzell, Kinley Uzzell and Sam Nickell; one sister, Violet Vest Vess; and special caretakers, granddaughter, Ashleigh Nickell, Robin Reynolds, Mildred Wilson, Renny Bowman and the staff of Mountain Regional Hospice.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Tyree was preceded in death by one sister, Wanda Meeks.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 24, 2013, at Alleghany Memorial Park with Rev. Michael C. Fleenor officiating.

The family will receive friends at any time at the residence, 1011 W. Ridge Street, Covington.
