Virginia Stanley Staton, 87, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Buena Vista.

She was born November 29, 1925, in Roanoke, a daughter of the late Charles E. Stanley and Annie McKee Stanley.

Mrs. Staton was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are her two sons, E. Gordon Staton Jr. and wife, Linda, of Chester and Milton Staton, of Buena Vista; two daughters, Carol A. Staton, of Lexington and Charlene Staton Wilson and husband, Johnny, of Natural Bridge Station; seven grandchildren, E.G. Staton, Sara Staton, Amanda Hooks, Coy Staton, Tracy Staton, Kristin Lineberry, Jonathan Wilson; eleven great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; special niece, Nadine Widdifield; and several other nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Bolling, Grose, and Lotts Funeral Home, with the Pastor Gordon Staton officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.
