Obituary for Robert Arthur (Bobby) Burns Robert Arthur (Bobby) Burns
Retired Contractor Was West Virginia Native

Robert Arthur (Bobby) Burns, age 73, of The Woodlands Health and Rehab in Clifton Forge, Virginia, formerly of Douthat Mobile Home Park in Clifton Forge, died Thursday February 21, 2013 at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany, Low Moor.

He was born in Charleston, West Virginia, on August 21, 1939, a son of the late Floyd Marion and Georgie Downey Burns Craft.

He was a retired contractor for the city of Herndon, VA, a life member of the Clifton Forge Moose Lodge #1683, and loved music and writing poetry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol R. Wills in 2011, and two brothers.

He is survived by two step-daughters: Connie Dudley and husband, Lawrence of Clifton Forge, and Crystal Mason of Meriden, CT; two step-sons, Clifton Wills and Calvin Wills, both of Meriden, CT; step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; a special niece, Frances Thomas of Roanoke; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his dog, Midnight, who was his life.

A funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Monday from the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with the Reverend Doug Moore officiating. Interment followed in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge.

The family received friends on Monday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at Nicely Funeral Home.
