Buford Cleveland Braford, 93, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

He was born on February 15, 1920, in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Grover Cleveland Braford and Bessie Barger Braford.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie King Braford.

Surviving are his children, Brenda Spangler and husband, Ray, of Eagle Rock, Deborah McCormick and husband, Chris, of Greensboro, N.C., and William Braford and wife, Joyce, of Buena Vista; one special grandchild, Tiffany Braford; and six other grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 4, 2013, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dean Staton officiating. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
