Obituary for Arthur Haden (Buck) Elmore Arthur Haden (Buck) Elmore
Former AET Employee Was Farmer, Beef Cattle Producer

Arthur Haden (Buck) Elmore, age 67, of 209 Rose Hill Lane, Rich Patch, Covington, Virginia, died Monday, March 4, 2013 at home.

Buck was born September 9, 1945 in Albemarle County to Arthur Clarence and Lena Persinger Elmore.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He was a retired production operator at A.E.T. and was a farmer and beef cattle producer.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Ginger Webb Elmore of Rich Patch, Covington; his mother, Lena Persinger Elmore of Rich Patch; two daughters, Lisa Curtis and husband. Bobby, and Kathy Buchanan and husband, David, both of Clifton Forge; a son, Timmy Elmore and wife, Brittany of Rich Patch, Covington; two sisters, Doris E. Fatzinger and husband, Don of Ebensburg, PA, and Linda Simmons and husband, Harry of Covington; his mother-in-law, Nora Webb of Clifton Forge; five grandchildren, Tristan Elmore, Carlee Elmore, Mazi Elmore, Daniel Curtis, and Jared Anderson; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service was held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Elder James Arritt and Elder Basil Sampson officiating.

Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Rich Patch, Covington.

Active pallbearers will be Dean Fuller, Freddie Tucker III, Faron Stull, Dale Stull, Ellis Stull, Page Wolfe, Jr., W. L. Tingler, Roy Loudermilk, Shawn Wolfe, Ray Lockhart, Ray Crush, and Harold Higgins. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charlie Watts, Eddie Dudley, and Sonny Higgins.

The family received friends on Thursday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home, and other times at the residence. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions in Buck's name to a charity of your choice.
