Obituary for Opal Burks Kincaid Opal Burks Kincaid
Former H. O. Canfield Employee Dies At Age 81

Opal Burks Kincaid, 81, of 9813 Salem Road, Low Moor, Virginia, died, Saturday, March 9, 2012 in Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital in Low Moor.

She was born May 13, 1931 in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late Melvin M. and Patty Keen Burks.

Mrs. Kincaid retried as a mold operator from the H.O. Canfield in Iron Gate.

Her favorite pastime was to play bingo.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kincaid was preceded in death by her husband, Homer L. Kincaid in 1974; three sisters, Betty Burks, Joyce Burks and Charlotte Bush; two brothers, Cecil M. Burks and Melvin Burks, Jr. and two brothers-in-law, William S. Bush and Roscoe G. DePriest.

Surviving are three daughters, Gail DePriest and Gary Holberook of Charleston, WV ; Patricia Lester and her husband, Frank, and Susan Kincaid and Hoy T. Lee , all of Covington; three sons, Steve Kincaid and his wife, Debbie, and Gary Kincaid, all of Low Moor; and Charles Kincaid and his wife, Dana of Eagle Rock; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one sister, Romana Depriest of Iron Gate; one brother, Billy Burks of Clifton Forge and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Edith Snedegar officiating. The interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.

The family will receive their friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the Arritt Funeral Home.
