Obituary for Kenneth Hadden Cornett Kenneth Hadden Cornett
Former Navy Lieutenant Commander Founded Lexington Tax Service

Kenneth Hadden Cornett, 81, of Lexington, Virginia, died Sunday, March 17, 2013, at his home.

He was born July 4 1931, in Fairmont, WV, a son of the late Lawrence Cornett and Ada Clinton Cornett.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Boyd Clinton Cornett.

Kenneth was retired from the United States Navy as a Lieutenant Commander after 20 years of service, and after moving to Lexington, opened Cornett Tax Service.

Surviving are his wife, Jane H. Cornett; and siblings, Bonnie Arnett and Richard Cornett, both of Florida.

A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Stonewall Jackson Cemetery with the Rev. David Cox officiating. Military rites will be conducted at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Rockbridge SPCA, P.O. Box 528, Lexington, VA 24450.

The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.
