Obituary for Peggy Withrow Stock Maydian Peggy Withrow Stock Maydian
Clifton Forge Native Was Former Civil Servant, Audio-Visual Specialist

Peggy Withrow Stock Maydian, age 84, of 613 Roxbury Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Morningside at Belgrade Assisted Living in Midlothian.

Mrs. Maydian was born February 17, 1929 in Clifton Forge, Virginia, the daughter of Cecil F. Stock and Suella Withrow Stock.

She served as a civil servant for the Armed Air Forces during the Korean War.

She was a teacher in various parts of the United States, and her last position was that of an audio-visual specialist at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College.

In addition to her late parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Carlyle "Pete" Maydian, and a sister, Nancy Ellen Stock McClure.

She is survived by her niece, Sharon Kim McClure Sweet and husband, Frank; her nephew, Joseph W. McClure III and wife, Catherine; and numerous cousins, including Georgia and Bruce Cobbs, William J. Withrow, Johnny Withrow, Carl Withrow and William Edgar Withrow.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Reverend Robert McRae officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
