Saundra Faye Stevenson Anderson Dean, 69, of 6715 Mill Creek Road, Millboro, Virginia, died early Saturday morning, March 23, 2013, at her residence in Bath County.

She was born in Durham, North Carolina, on September 18, 1943, a daughter of the late Herman Richard and Emily Radford Stevenson.

She was a homemaker throughout her life.

She is survived by a daughter, Shannon Fitzgerald of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; 3 sons, Robert Anderson of Staunton, Chad Anderson of Charlotte, North Carolina and Steven Fitzgerald of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; 2 brothers, Larry Stevenson and wife, LaDonna of Millboro; and Richard Stevenson and wife, Vickie of Leesburg, Florida; 3 grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was conducted Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home in Clifton Forge with the Rev. Bill Hartsfield officiating. Interment followed in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Active Pallbearers were selected from friends and family attending the service. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m until time of service on Tuesday at Nicely Funeral Home.
