Self-Employed Taxidermist Dies At Age 60

Arnold Justice Bailey, 60 of 4604 Johnson Creek Road, Covington, Virginia, died Friday March 29, 2013 at Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital in Low Moor.

He was born October 11, 1952 in Alleghany County, the son of the late Lacy and Nora Persinger Bailey.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Janice Bailey, a brother, Robert Bailey, and a grand daughter, Madison Bailey.

Mr. Bailey worked as a Taxidermist with Nicely's Taxidermy in Covington and for the past several years has been a self-employed Taxidermist.

Surviving are his wife, Pamela Wilson Bailey; two sons, David Bailey and wife, Erin, and Cory Bailey and wife, Marie, all of Covington; four grandchildren, Lucas Bailey, C.J. Bailey, Sidney Robinson, and Mia Bailey; four brothers, Alfred Bailey, Ernest Bailey, Berland "Doc" Bailey, and Jimmy Bailey, all of Covington; six sisters, Virginia Kitt and husband, Sammy, Nadine Tucker and husband, Jim, Eldis Gilbert and husband, Gary, Sue Menefee and husband, Nathan, Mary Austin and husband, Tommy, and Alice Depreist, all of Covington; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the cemetery of Alleghany Memorial Park with the Rev. Steve Tremblay.

Pallbearers were Robert Tucker, Sr, Robert Bailey, Mikey Richardson, Gary Gilbert, Austin Southern and Casey Gillispie. Alternates were Ray Richardson and Andy Richardson.

The family received friends one hour prior to service in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home.
