Homemaker Loved Country And Gospel Music

Clara Odesa Knick Dudley, age 77, of 705 Elko St, Selma, Virginia, died Sunday, April 14, 2013 at LewisGale Hospital - Alleghany, in Low Moor.

She was born March 19, 1936 in Clifton Forge, to the late Lawrence and Nannie Jeffries Knick.

She was a homemaker throughout her life. She loved country and gospel music, and enjoyed and nurtured her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Ann Perry Graham, two brothers and six sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Oler Ira Dudley, Sr. of Selma; two daughters, Sandra Lee Perry and Mary Elizabeth Perry, both of Roanoke; five sons, Kenneth Woodrow Perry, Jr. and wife, Kathy of Clifton Forge, Michael Allen Perry and wife, Tracy of Clifton Forge, Lawrence Lee Dudley and wife, Connie of Clifton Forge, Oler Ira Dudley, Jr. and wife, Brandy of Clifton Forge, and James Lee Dudley and wife, Wanda of Selma; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Nannie Foscoe and Nancy and Archie Wells.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge with Reverend Grover Nicely officiating. Interment will follow.

Pallbearers will be Virgil Reid, Jr., Joseph Wright, Sr., Donnie VanDevender, Archie Wells, Richard Craft and Henry Clark.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge and other times at the residence of Oler Ira and Brandy Dudley, 240 Morris Hollow Road, Clifton Fore, VA. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the American Diabetic Association, Richmond Office, Suite 200 E, 530 Main Street, Richmond, VA 23219.
