Clifton Forge Resident Was Active In Humane Society, American Red Cross

Elma Lee Bingham Moore of 1327 Forester Road, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Saturday, April 13, 2013 at her residence.

She was born May 1, 1941 in Bay Bridge, Brooklyn, New York, to the late Roland Arthur and Helen Schuyler Bingham.

She has a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She was active in the Alleghany Humane Society, the American Red Cross. She participated in the School Reading Program and was a senior citizen volunteer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, James Kenneth Moore; a brother, Philip Schuyler Bingham, and a grandson, Jeremy Lloyd Moore.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Ann Moore Doyle and significant other, Mark Jones of Clifton Forge; two sons, Kenneth James Moore of Virginia Beach, and Jeffery Kirk Moore of Clifton Forge; two sisters, Sylvia Lynn Carter of Indianapolis, IN and twin Jo-Ann Terry and husband, Ronald of Clifton Forge; seven grandchildren, Anthony Martin, Jesse Martin, Tiffany Deqcon, James K. Moore, Michelle Reyna, Melissa Moore, and Jennifer Talbot; four great grandchildren, Dean Martin, Jordan Martin, Erin Brehm, and Sazed Talbot.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge with President James Arritt officiating. There will be no formal visitation. However, friends may call any time at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge or at the residence, 1327 Forester Road, Clifton Forge.

Nicely Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Alleghany Humane Society, PO Box 60, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
