Fletcher Chapel United Methodist Church Member Dies At Age 56

Donna Harper Arrington, 56, of 5329 Frontier Lane, Covington, Virginia, died Friday, April 19, 2013 in Lewis Gale Hospital in Salem.

Mrs. Arrington was born February 5, 1957, in Roanoke County, a daughter of the late Calvin Larry Harper and Aline Austin Harper Eubank.

She was a receptionist at the Homestead Spa in Hot Springs.

She was a member of Fletcher Chapel United Methodist Church and a 20 year member of the Women of the Moose.

Donna had a love of NASCAR racing and Dale Earnhardt, Sr., and watching her hummingbirds.

Surviving are her husband of 26 years, James Michael "Mike" Arrington of Covington; three daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Jim Meagher of Martinsville, Jamie and Ron Toney of Sandston and Tracey and Craig Loving of Tappahanock; one grandson, Michael Meagher of Martinsville; four granddaughters, Morgan Meagher and Trey Stillman of Lynchburg, Kaitlyn Hundley of Tappahanock, Rachel Toney of Sandston and Elizabeth Loving of Tappahanock; one great granddaughter, Abigail Stillman of Lynchburg; her brother, Larry Blake Harper of Los Angeles, CA; her sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Robert Montgomery of Murphy, Texas; special nieces and nephews,Ali Montgomery, Joanna Montgomery, Ethan Nicely, Kara Nicely, Mason Nicely and Emma Potts; her husband's parents, James and Eloise Arrington of Covington; her sister-in-law, Gayle Martin and her husband, Steve, of Covington; her brothers-in-law, Ron Arrington and his wife, Connie, and Sam Arrington and his wife Fran, of Covington.

The funeral service will be held Monday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Rodden officiating.

Active pallbearers will be Bob Blankenship, Rodger Huffman, Artie Ransone, Keith Carpenter, Rusty Byrd and Jeff Crowder. The family received friends Sunday evening from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home. Interment will be made in the Fletcher Chapel Cemetery.
