Obituary for Daisy Claytor Brads Daisy Claytor Brads
Longtime Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Member Was Devoted To Bible Study Fellowship

Beloved mother, memaw, sister and aunt, Daisy Claytor Brads, 89, of Glasgow, Virginia, went home to our Lord on Wednesday morning, April 24, 2013.

Daisy was born on April 16, 1924 to the late Brenard Guy Claytor and Gracie Camden Claytor.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by husband of 63 years, William R. Brads, and survived by her two daughters, Sharron B. Gorrell (Rob), of Burke and Bonnie Brads Mays (Doug), of Rockville; her grandchildren, Shannon Williams (Chris) and Zac Gorrell (Katherine), and her great-grandchildren, Emily, Ashley, Evan, Amanda and Tyler.

Also surviving are one sister, Ruby Lawhorne of Richmond, Virginia, and one brother, Rudolph Claytor of Glasgow.

She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church for 76 years and attended Dunn's Chapel United Methodist Church, after moving to Bonnie and Doug's home. She was a devoted participant in Bible Study Fellowship in recent years and her love for The Lord was evident to all.

She enjoyed her family, quilt making, needlework, reading and her beloved Braves.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 26, 2013, at Harrison Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion UMC Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Zion cemetery perpetual fund, Dunn's Chapel building fund or BSF International. Send all donations to 13278 Spring Road, Rockville, VA 23146 with memo.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Medi Home Health and Hospice for the loving care extended to mama and our family. A special thanks to Christie, Marlena, Melanie, and Amy.
