Shirley McDaniel Harris, 58, of 201 Cool Valley Lane, Covington, Virginia, died Friday, May 10, 2013, at the Golden Living Center in Clifton Forge.

Mrs. Harris was born August 3, 1954, in Baltimore, MD, a daughter of Virgie McDaniel Martin of Covington and the late Peter Martin.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Billy Bob Martin.

She was employed as a cook at Hardees Restaurant.

Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, Al Harris of Covington; her twin daughters, Stacy Smith and Shelly Simmons, both of Covington; her son, Michael Harris of Covington; three grandchildren; her sister, Paula Brady of Covington, and her brother, Randy Martin of Covington.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the graveside in Lone Star Cemetery.

The family will receive their friends from 12:30 pm. until service time at Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia.
