Obituary for Wayne (Poncho) Ester Bradley Wayne (Poncho) Ester Bradley
Former W&L Employee Dies At Age 62

Wayne (Poncho) Ester Bradley, 62, of Buena Vista, Virginia, was lifted up by the angels to his heavenly home on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, after a long illness at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Lexington on November 15, 1950, the son of the late Charles Ester Bradley and Vivian Frances Staton Bradley.

Poncho was employed by Washington and Lee University for 18 years.

He was an avid sportsman and loved hunting and fishing. He also attended softball games and all other sporting events.

Poncho was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle to many, and will be dearly missed by all.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Carolyn Reid Bradley; one son, Chason Wayne Bradley and fiance, Alisha Kennedy; one grandson, Chason Maddox Bradley, all from Buena Vista; two sisters, Frances Wills and fiance, Jesse Wood, of Lexington; Charlene Bradley, of Rockbridge Baths; many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday May 17, 2013, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dean Staton officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday May 16, 2013 at Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Buena Vista.
