Homemaker Was Longtime White Rock Gap Community Church Member

Hattie Ellen Kimberlin Bush, age 78, of 9716 Rich Patch Road, Covington, Virginia, died Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke.

She was born February 24, 1935 in Alleghany County, Virginia, to the late James Samuel Kimberlin, Sr. and Hester Ann Persinger Kimberlin.

She was a homemaker and a member of White Rock Gap Community Church, where she served as church secretary for forty years.

She enjoyed cooking for friends, and loved her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Richard Bush, Sr.; a son, Charles Richard Bush, Jr.; a sister, Leona Lavender; and five brothers, Arnold Leroy Kimberlin, William "Jaybird" Kimberlin, James "Nook" Kimberlin, Leonard "Wink" Kimberlin, and Roy E. Kimberlin.

She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Faye Bush of Low Moor and Frances Bryant and husband, Basil of White Rock Gap, Covington; a sister, Lillie Mays of Covington; a brother, George F. "Pete" Kimberlin of Clifton Forge; three grandsons, Chad Bryant, Travis Bryant, and Casey Bush; a great grandson, Colton Bryant; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Bill Gilliland officiating. Interment followed in Sunrise Cemetery, Low Moor. Pallbearers will be Thomas Tingler, Tommy Tingler, Donnie Kimberlin, Timmy Kimberlin, Pete Broughman, Tony Kimberlin, Charlie Kellison, and Joe Rumfelt.

The family received friends on Tuesday evening at Nicely Funeral Home and will at other times at the residence Frances and Basil Bryant, 911 White Rock Gap Road, Covington, VA.
