The family would like to thank her special friend, Donna Beverly, for her love, support and friendship given to Mary Alice over the past several years. Appreciation and gratitude is also extended to the staff of Rockbridge Area Hospice, particularly Sue Clark and Terry Volant for ensuring comfort in her final days.

Visitation for family and friends will be held 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at Bolling, Grose, and Lotts. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 12, 2013, at Bolling, Grose, and Lotts, the Rev. David Bain and the Rev. Bryon Lepere officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Greenhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Buena Vista Rescue Squad or Rockbridge Area Hospice.
