Loving Mother, Sally Marie Fitzgerald, 73, of Buena Vista, Virginia, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, August 5, 2013.

She was born on July 26, 1940, in Amherst, a daughter of the late Grover Garrett and Martha Beverly Garrett Davis.

In addition to her parents and two sisters, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, William "Fuzzy" Fitzgerald; daughter, Karen Lynn Fitzgerald; and son, William Scott Fitzgerald.

Mrs. Fitzgerald was a member of the Victory Baptist Church, and was employed at WalMart in Lexington.

Surviving are daughters and son-in-laws, Cindy F. and N. Eddie Dudley, Alice F. and Mike Smiley, all of Buena Vista; daughter and fiance, Barbara E. Fitzgerald and Paul Whittle, of Woodstock, Ga.; her son and his fiance, Joseph A. "Joey" Fitzgerald and Tammy Dunbar, of Buena Vista; granddaughter, Renee and husband, Josh McArdle, of Concord; grandson, Norris Dudley, of Buena Vista; three great-grandchildren, Hannah and Tegan McArdle, and Sarah Dudley; and one brother, Leslie Garrett, of Buchanan.

Funeral Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, August, 9, 2013, at Victory Baptist Church with the Rev. Dean Staton officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

There is no formal family night.
