Iva Jane Walton Hoke, 60, of Covington, Virginia, died Tuesday, August 27, 2013, in Lewis Gale Hospital in Salem.

Mrs. Hoke was born March 9, 1953, in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late Charles and Jessie Shue Walton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Wright, a brother, Robert Walton, and a grandson, Joshua Williams.

Surviving are two daughters, Katrina Via and Barrin Cooper of Roanoke, and Tammy Torres of Winston-Salem, NC; two sons, Christopher Armstrong of Covington, and Robert Armstrong of Clifton Forge; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Phillips and her husband, Bud, Bonnie Tucker, and Jenny Cook, all of Covington, and Frances Tucker of Roanoke; one brother, Charles Walton and his wife, Louise, of Covington; several nieces and nephews; and a special thanks to Pearl and Wendell Bland.

The family received friends Friday evening at Arritt Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dean Bowser officiating.

Interment will be made in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
