Lucy Warwick Young, 96, of 412 Merry Lane, Covington, Virginia, died Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the Woodlands in Clifton Forge.

She was born March 7, 1917 in Bath County, a daughter of the late George and Annie Cleek Warwick.

Mrs. Young retired as a nursing assistant from the former Alleghany Regional Hospital and was member of Trinity Baptist Church for 67 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Young in 1963; a son, Clyde Grey Young in 1937; a daughter-inÐlaw, Phyllis OÕ'Conner Young, and also by five brothers and one sister.

Surviving are two daughters, Shirley Carper and her husband, Glenn, of Manassas; and Doris Williams of Edmond, OK; two Sons, James L. Young of Hopewell and Robert W. Young and his wife, Vivian, of Madison, VA; eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
