Leonard Ray Nida Sr., 70, of Covington, Virginia, departed this life October 26, 2013 at his residence.
He was born July 14, 1943, to the late George Wallace and Izetta Wolfe Nida.
Surviving are his loving wife, of 52 years, Bettie Brookman Nida; three sons, Ronny and Rita Nida, Terry Nida and Sharon Tucker and Kevin Nida; 14 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Bobby and Phyllis Nida and Alvin and Mary Jo Nida; one sister, Dora Lee and Stuart Johnson and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be made in Lone Star Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday, October 28, 2013 from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home.
