Erma Strickler Gainor Yeakel, 85, of Lexington, Virginia, went home to be with her Lord and her beloved husband, Richard, Thursday, November 7, 2013.

Erma is survived by her son, Steve and his wife, Beth, of Glen Allen, and their children, Katherine, of Rochester, Minn., Joe, of New York, N.Y., and Sarah, of Portland, Oregon.

She is also survived by her daughter, Joanna (Jody) Swink, Jody's husband, Johnny, and her son, Ryan Wilhelm, all of Lexington. She also leaves many relatives in the Strickler, Gainor, Hoke, Derr, Watts, Beyerle, Imboden and Keller families.

A celebration of Erma's life will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at the Harrison Funeral Home in Lexington.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. with a memorial service to follow.

An additional memorial service will be held at a later date at the Virginia Mennonite Retirement Center in Harrisonburg.

The family requests that any memorials be sent in Erma's memory to the charity of the donor's choice .
