Henry P. Lewis Jr., of Buena Vista, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013.

He was born January 11, 1938 in Rockbridge County to the late Henry p. Lewis Sr. and Ressie Irvine Lewis.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice Joeleen Sandidge Lewis; daughter, Tracy Lewis Treen and husband, Richard; stepson, Eric D. Painter and Sheri; step grandchildren, Ryan, Chad and Jenna.

He retired from Sprint Telephone Co. with 30 years of service.

He was a member of the Grace Chapel Church.

Henry had many friends, two very special friends, Toby Sorrells and Donald Slough, and a very special brother-in-law, Harold (Red) Sandidge.

Special thanks to the caregivers of Golden Living Center and the Rockbridge Area Hospice for their very special care.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Rockbridge Area Hospice, 315 Myers Street, Lexington, VA 24450.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Butch Grow and Tommy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Buena Vista.
